Mother Christine Simes, parish priest

The parish priest is the Reverend Christine Simes. Christine has been parish priest at St Nicolas since May 2006. Before that she was rector of the parish of City Beach for 7½ years and before that Chaplain to Perth College. Originally from Melbourne she studied theology through the United Faculty of Theology and Trinity Theological School in Melbourne. She was ordained in 1994. She completed her Master of Theology at Notre Dame University in Perth. In the diocese of Perth she has been member of the Architecture Committe, a parish Nominator, a lecturer in the Diploma studies at Wollaston and an Examining Chaplain and Chair of the archbishop’s Examining Chaplains. She is presently a member of Litmus, a Parish Nominator and the Perth Co-ordinator of EfM.
